Morris Minor LILAC Convertible
This Morris Minor Convertible was commissioned by a
customer having seen my own Morris Minor Million at
the 60th National Morris Minor Rally.
First we had to find an appropriate vehicle with the
correct matching year registration and body styling.
Stripping and Welding
Once found this vehicle was stripped, the panels were
cut out and replaced and the vehicle made
structurally sound.
The roof was removed and appropriate strengthening
panels were fitted.
All panel joints are seam sealed to protect them and
all floors have an application of under body Schultz
and are then spayed with wax and all box selections
wax injected also.
Body Work
To offer all panels up and check for alignment.
To take the vehicle body work back to bare metal to
lightly filler skim rear quarter panels, hiding original
traficator apetures.
To etch, prime and high build flat body and paint the
body, engine bay and internal body work in Lilac.
To Rebuild
The vehicle was rebuilt to the customer's
specifications for the Morris Minor Million, with some
upgrades which included the 1098 engine, gear box
and mechanics, brake servo and larger tyres.
The vehicle was road tested and MOT'd then taken to
the 2009 MMOC National Rally where it was collected
by the customer.
